Lost In Space?

Alien Worlds

Here is where pupils can contribute their own pictures of alien creatures, machines and planets. If you email your creations as an attached computer file we can almost guarantee to post them onto the site. Try using such computer drawing tools such as CorelDraw, MacPaint, MS Paint or shareware programs such as Paint Shop Pro (for PC). Don't worry too much about what "file format" it is, as we can open most. If we do have trouble, we can always email you back!

Space Travel
by Rachael Budd, Year 5, Mangateparu School

I'm in a spaceship travelling,
And this story is unravelling.
Mercury, venus, earth too,
So many things, for you to do.
Off in a spaceship 3, 2, 1,
Blast off! We're off to the sun.
Bye bye space we have been here too long,
Back to earth were i belong.

Planets
by Andrew Pritchar, Year 5, Mangateparu School

There are nine planets in the solar system - Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.
Some of them are hot and some of them are cold.
Inner planets and outer planets.
All different coloured planets.
Big ones, small ones, some with rings and some without.
Some planets are made of rocks and some are made of gases and liquids.
Earth is probably the only planet which has water.

Mars
by Benjamin Bryant, Year 4, Mangateparu School

My Space Trip
by Leah Stewart, Year 5, Mangateparu School.

My space ship is so big,
Very very big,
Every day we travel for miles, first there is
Mercury,Venus,Earth,then comes Mars,
Jupiter,is the biggest planet of them all,
Saturn is the one with the biggest ring,
Uranus has one too, but not as nice as the one we have past through,
Neptune then Pluto the darkest ones of all,
Plenty of sights we have seen, but the saddest of all,
is having to shoot back past them all.

Is this a UFO or just the head of an old watering can floating in a fish pond?....Andrew Smith, Wellington
