Each and every person who ventures out into the Great Outdoors should have at least two ways to start a fire with them. One on them at all times and the other to be kept with their gear.  And did you know, a few small fires can provide a lot more heat then one large fire.

As you probably know keeping warm in the bush is essential so hereís some great tips when making a fireÖ

Collect firewood you think you will need for the night and then collect the same amount again. Experience shows that you will need it.

Conserve fuel by making a  ìstar fireî where the ends of the logs meet in the fire only. As the night goes on and more fuel is needed push  the logs inward.

Make a reflector from your SPACE BLANKET on the back wall of a shelter to reflect heat of your fire onto your back, sit between the fire and the wall.
