Lord of the Rings Lord of the Rings is the book that Tolkien wrote to follow The Hobbit. It is a very long book, and a series of movies is being made in New Zealand based on the book. The first movie will be shown at the very end of 2001.

Costumes for the movie are very ornate. Here you can see masks that are used by actors playing the parts of dwarves, orcs, trolls and other creatures.

Why did they make the film in New Zealand? Filming was done in New Zealand because there are so many beautiful places to film that look like the places in Tolkien's book. |
