THE TEAMS || THE CUP || HOW THE COMPETITION IS ORGANISED

These are the teams who competed for the Louis Vuitton Cup. These races consists of two boats racing each other in pairs, in a series of round robins, until the last two are left to race off against each other. The winner of the last series of races wins the Louis Vuitton Cup, and becomes the Challenger for the America's Cup.

You can click on each of the teams to find out more information about them. (The photo is of the Prada team holding the Louis Vuitton Cup when they won it in 2000).
