Rainforest Slideshow!
Oil also comes from the rainforest. Here's a picture of an oil spill that Texaco left behind in the rainforests of Ecuador after drilling for oil there for twenty years. They drilled up all this oil, sold it, and then left poisonous spills behind that are now making all the people and the animals in that area sick because their drinking water is now polluted.
Since oil is used for our cars, one way we can help the rainforests is to drive our cars less. By carpooling, walking, riding the bus or a bike, we can do a lot to reduce our need for oil, and that can really help save the rainforests.
