What else happened?


(The ejecta layer is the layer of matter thrown out of the crater when the meteorite hit the earth)

The food supply may have been less as a result of the
1) Asteroid striking and smoke and dust blocking the sun
2) as the result of climate change (see below).

Like any other animal, dinosaurs may have got sick. It is known for example, that some dinosaurs had a condition much like modern arthritis.

Climate may have changed as the result of explosions from an asteroid strike, smoke from volcanoes.

The sea level could have changed, and the air become a lot more polluted with volcanic eruptions and fires, as well as the greenhouse effect.

There may have been too many predators, and if a predator ate all the eggs from a particular species, they would die out.

The length of days and nights may have changed.
