    How heavy are sumo wrestlers?
    Many wrestlers weigh as much as 150 kilograms (330 pounds). Sumo's newest yokozuna (wrestler of the highest rank), Musashimaru from Hawaii, weighs 225 kilograms (495 pounds). In order to become this big, the average sumo wrestler eats up to 20,000 calories per day--about 10 times what an average adult needs!

    How many earthquakes has Japan had?
    Each year countless earthquakes occur in Japan, but most are so small that they can't be felt. Over the last century, Japan has experienced 23 earthquakes that have caused major damage, the most recent being the Great Hanshin Earthquake that occurred in Kobe in 1995. The most devastating earthquake in modern times was the great Tokyo Earthquake of 1923, in which 100,000 died.
