Welcome to Busena Beach!

You've arrived at your final destination, Busena Beach in the city of Nago. At the end of the Busena Cape jutting out into the beautiful ocean is Bankoku Shinryokan, the main venue for the 2000 G8 Summit Meeting. The building's name means "a hall for all nations" and was so named in 1958. It's taken from the words of Ryukyu King Sho Taikyu--"Make this land a bridge to all nations"--which he had carved on a bell in the main hall of Shuri Castle.

While enjoying the warm welcome from the friendly people of subtropical Okinawa, let's listen to what the world leaders at the summit have to say. There are many other fun places to visit in Okinawa besides the ones introduced here, so come and visit the prefecture in person one day!

Hope you've enjoyed the journey!
