Are the animals wild?

The animals used in rodeos are not wild. They are tame, but they don't trust of human beings because of the harsh treatment that they have received.

Many of these animals are not aggressive by nature; they are quiet and well behaved.

But in a rodeo, they need to look "wild" to make the cowboys look brave. They behave wildly because they are poked with sticks and electric prods, or have tight straps around them which cause a lot of pain.

Even a normally well-behaved horse will buck on and on if it has one of these straps pulled tight and hurting all the time.
