38) Primates use sound to communicate as well. Many animals have complex calls that let others know of danger, or when they are intruding on another group's territory. This howler monkey gets its name from the loud call it produces.A brown howler -- a South American monkey -- faces right as it calls from a tree. Notice the enlarged lower jaw which allows this monkey to produce a loud, resonating call.
