| A fire fountain (or lava fountain) is a fountain of molten lava from a volcanic vent. The lava has to be very liquid to have a fountain, and have a lot of gas in it. Sometimes the fountain can spray hundreds of metres into the air. Hawaiian volcanoes erupt this way. |
