Racing Cars

People who like to drive cars very fast should not do that on the roads, where they might kill people.

There are special racetracks and speedways where you can go to race cars, or watch other people race them.

Sometimes things go wrong, and a car burns out. There are barriers to keep the spectators safe, but there have been serious accidents sometimes when parts fly off the cars in a crash, and fly into the crowd.

This racing driver is strapped into his car with a seat belt, but he also had other safety equipment.

He wears a full face helmet to protect his head, and another thing that protects his head and neck is behind him. Why do you you think the car has a sticking up piece behind the driver?

Remember, if a car is designed to go fast, it shouldn't have anything to catch the wind and slow it down.

This is an interesting vehicle at a speedway track.
