These photos on this page are black and white because early cameras couldn't take colour photos in the early twentieth century. Early buses were sometimes called charabancs, and they didn't always have a roof! People used to go off for an excursion to the seaside in a charabanc, with all their friends. |

The fronts of early buses looked like the fronts of cars. The buses were a lot smaller than modern buses. |
