Good choice! Solar energy is a great power source—it's free, efficient, and endless! A large solar array does not weigh too much to launch into orbit, and can generate up to 31 kilowatts.

Your space station can support astronauts for short stays of a few days or a week. The astronauts will survive, but they won't be able to do much work.
