 These islands are governed by France and so more people speak French than English. It is expensive to visit here.

The islands are the tops of volcanoes, so they are very steep in the interior.

Wallis island has crater lakes - lakes inside volcanic craters.

People get their food from fishing, and from farming.

They also make beautiful tapa cloth on these islands.

The children speak their own language, but they also learn to speak French at school.
