The Photosynthesis Process

The autotrophs convert the radiant energy released by the sun into glucose and water for the heterotrophs. The plants use chlorophyll molecules to capture the light energy for this process.

Autotrophs are self-feeding organisms, mainly green plants. They produce and consume their own food. Heterotrophs are non self-feeding organisms. Here is an example: Since human beings rely on plants and animals as a food source, they are heterotrophs.
