We
are very pleased to welcome Audrie
McKenzie to the LEARNZ Team as the
LEARNZ2001 Teacher.
Audrie
was previously principal at Ngamatea, a
sole charge school situated on the Upper
Whangaehu Valley Road, at the southern end
of Tongariro National Park.
Audrie
successfully applied for a Royal Society
of New Zealand, Science, Mathematics &
Technology Teacher Fellowship that
provides a year's leave for her to work
with the LEARNZ Team during 2001.
The
students at Ngamatea School have
participated virtually in conservation
projects in both Fiordland and Tongariro
National Parks during LEARNZ99 and
LEARNZ2K, so Audrie is well aware of the
part she will play in the Learnz
programme.
