Gathering data through all the senses

Gathering data through all senses means using your five senses, which are smelling, hearing, tasting, feeling, and looking.

Gathering data through all senses looks like someone hearing the sound of a bird so they can tell it's a bird or tasting water so they know it's water. Or smelling a flower so they know it's a beautiful flower.

It feels like you really know what the world is like.
