Japanese spiders
NEXT

This is a giant wood spider. It can stretch its web to about one metre across. Hold your hands out against a metre ruler, and you will see that that is a BIG web!

In Japanese, it is called O jyorou kumo. O means big, jyorou means Femme Fatale, and kumo means spider. So putting that together, it means Big Dangerous Spider Woman!

One of my teachers told me it is called that because it looks as though it is wearing lipstick.
