Ankylosaurus (ang-KILE-oh-sawr-us)

Ankylosaurus was well protected with armor made of thick oval plates of bones set close together in leathery skin. The armor covered the head, neck, back and tail. Even the eyelids were covered by bony plates! This plant eating dinosaur lived in the Cretaceous time period in Western Canada.
