What it looked like
Tyrannosaurus rex was a
fierce predator that walked on two powerful legs in forests. This
meat-eater had a huge head with large, pointed teeth and
well-developed jaw muscles. It had tiny arms, each with two fingers.
Each bird-like foot had three large toes, all with claws. T. rex had
a stiff, pointed tail that provided balance and helped it to make
quick turns while running. Fossilized pieces
of its rough, scaly skin have been found. It was bumpy, like an
alligator's skin
What it
ate
Tyrannosaurus was a
meat-eating dinosaur with big zig-zag teeth that ripped through
flesh. It lived on other smaller dinosaurs that it attacked, or it
frightened other attackers away from their kill.
How it moved
around
Tyrannosaurus moved on its
back two feet, and could run very fast. Because of its tail, which
helped it to balance, it could turn very quickly while chasing its
prey.
How it probably
behaved
Tyrannosaurus was a fierce
killer, and could probably have swallowed human beings whole if it
was around today!
