The Yangtze river flows for 3,400 miles from the Kunlan Mountains of Tibet in western China to the east China Sea just north of Shanghai. It is the longest in Asia and the fourth longest in the world. The Yangtze River is a very busy river in fact it is one of the worlds busiest rivers. Much cargo and passenger traffic travel along the 1,700 miles of its course. Its deep waters allow large ships to reach as far as Wuhan, 700 miles upriver to the coast. By Jeff
