Gaia was worshipped as the goddess of the Earth and the mother of the universe. Seagaia, where the foreign ministers will meet, was opened in 1993 as a resort complex. It is famous for the Ocean Dome, a pool with artificial waves created with a computer. Other facilities include a subtropical garden, a golf course, a hotel, and meeting rooms.
