Daily
Life
Take a look at how
kids spend their time when not under the limelight. |
The families and daily lives of three kid
actors are introduced here. They talk about their interests outside of
kabuki, and what their personal goals are. |
Masami's family runs a supermarket,
and she helps out with the store from time to time. She plays badminton
in her elementary school and also plays Chichibu daiko and
piano and enjoys swimming and calligraphy. A demonstration of her
calligraphy style shows her to be quite an expert. She claims, though,
that she can't write well when people are watching her. "Oops! See,
I've made a mistake." |

Masami performed the only female role in the
play.

A work well done. The characters read koharu
biyori, or the warm autumn sun reminiscent of spring.

|
Of the many different things
she's studying, she says that her favorites are piano, drums, kabuki,
and badminton, in that order. She's also a dedicated student who
never neglects to do her homework. "She tries harder at everything
she does now," explains her mother of how Masami changed since she
took up kabuki. |

Asked what she hopes to become
when she grows up, Masami replied, "Mmm, I don't know yet. Probably
a nurse. The nurses on television are really cool." |
