What do Japanese children enjoy doing with their families?
On weekends and holidays, many Japanese families go driving or dine out, and occasionally they also visit zoos, aquariums, and art and natural history museums. Another common pastime is going to movie theaters to watch films for schoolchildren.

If the weather is good, many kids go out to play ball or frisbee at a neighborhood park. And visits to theme parks, like Tokyo Disneyland, are always a big treat.

During long vacations, such as summer break, the family will often spend a number of days at a mountain, seaside, or hot spring resort. Recently, a growing number of households are spending their days off traveling abroad.
