Bull riding pits a cowboy against a big heavy bull that wants to throw him off. 

The cowboy must hang on for eight seconds with one hand. All he has to hold on to is a flat, braided "bull rope" tied around the bull's belly.

His riding hand is wrapped into the rope and he cannot touch himself or the bull with his free hand.
