Being a responsible cat owner

Miss Tatana will be a responsible cat owner. She will not let her cat roam around where it could kill birds, and be in danger of getting run over, or injured in a cat fight.

She will take her cat to the vet regularly for checkups and to have its annual injections. If her cat is ever sick, she will take it to the vet.

When she goes away on holiday, she will not just leave her cat. She will either get someone to come to her house and look after her cat, or she will put it into a cattery while she is away.

Some time soon after her new kitten is 12 weeks old, Miss Tatana will get it neutered, if it is a male, or spayed if it is a female. That means she will take it to the vet, and the vet will give it an operation so that it will not be able to breed, and bring more kittens into the world.

Miss Tatana knows that although kittens are very cute and loveable, there are far too many of them in the world, and every day, people in the SPCA, who love cats, have to kill kittens that nobody wants.

She would hate to have to kill lovely little kittens like these, so she makes sure that her cat will not be able to have kittens. That means that she is a responsible and caring cat owner.
